Aaron's THREE!

Cade's birthday is in October, and ever since his birthday Aaron has been very distressed about when it was going to be his birthday. For two months all we hear is "My Birthday?" and the answer was always no Aaron, not yet. Well the day finally came and we had a small party planned with cupcakes, but unfortunately Cade came down with swine flu, and spoiled the fun. So we spent the day in the house with just our immediate family. Aaron didn't seem to care, all he wanted was the presents.

I wish we could record him speaking, he was so cute all day as he walked around and talked about how he was going to have cupcakes for his birthday.

Aaron got some new pajamas for hjs birthday, which he desperately needed!

Craig was determined to get Aaron a big truck for his birthday. I wouldn't recommend this for a three year old, the box wouldn't stay together, and it soon ended on a shelf. The dud toy of the year, live and learn!

I try and try to get Aaron to smile for pictures, but he is just not very photogenic. He at least gives it his best try.

Spike, the Death of CRAIG!

Cade earned a dog, Craig finally gave in and got a dog, and now the battle begins! Poor spike, it is not his fault he is a pure bread and piddles when he is excited. I think if Craig does not kill the dog, the dog will kill Craig (LOL). We took the potty training class and we have been fortunate to save our carpet. However; Spike has definitely pushed all our buttons, from eating the base board, to tearing up the newspaper and puppy pads, to tormenting the children. He is definitely another child!

Halloween 2009

For Halloween this year Cade decided he wanted to be a pirate and Aaron was a vampire. The kids looked great in their costumes! As with tradition Grandma hosted her annual Halloween party. The parents ran off to enjoy a few hours or quiet while Grandma and Grandpa spent the evening with 13 crazy grandchildren. They had a costume parade and ate yummy mummies for dinner. They drank blood punch and ate mud and worms for desert. The kids had a blast!

On Halloween night we took the kids trunk-r-treating. The church was decorated with Halloween lights and the kids had to walk through a pathway to get their treats. It was so much fun and with the combined wards the kids came home with more candy than they could eat.

Cade's 9th Birthday!

How quickly time flys! It feels like only yesterday that this cute little baby boy was placed in our arms. He came fully dressed with cute little shoes. Now is NINE! What happened? Despite the nine year old attitude, constant holes in his jeans, and a typical fake smile, we love him just the same.

For the past three months all we have heard him talk about is a ripstick or a long board. So we broke down and bought a ripstick. The minute he got it he put his coat on and headed out in the rain. He only crashed 3-4 times but overall he is a natural. For those of you who have tried this, it is extremely difficult and crazy.
