We wanted to share with you a letter that was written to you by Cade’s Birth Grandma.

Dear Precious Birthmother,

As I begin this letter to you in behalf of Craig and Tamra, I would first like to express my heartfelt love to you. As a birth grandmother I know of the pain and sorrow that you may be feeling at this time in your life. If I could express one thing to you it would be that you would keep the Lord in your life and when you feel like you can’t make it, get on bended knees and plead for His strength to pick you up and get you through the day. I promise you He will never ever leave you if you will continue to make daily strides towards keeping the door open to Him, and by doing so He will bless your life more than you could ever imagine.

Now I know that you are reading this because you are considering Craig and Tamra as parents for your baby. I cannot say enough good things about Craig and Tamra, as I truly love them as my own children. They were blessed by the love of my daughter as she placed her baby Cade with them. I can honestly say that this has definitely been a bittersweet experience. I say bittersweet because of course, I would have loved to have Cade be a part of my daily life, but at this time it was not meant to be.

Our daughter became pregnant and decided early on that she wanted a daddy for her baby. I personally knew that this was the best decision for her, however I knew of the loss that we would feel. On the contrary, Craig and Tamra have made this experience a joyful one as we have seen through letters and pictures of the love that they have not only for one another, but also more importantly for Cade.

Craig and Tamra have given Cade a life that our daughter could not have given him. Cade is so blessed with a mom that can be at home with him teaching him about the important things of life. When our daughter realized that her time with Cade would be so limited and that he would be in the care of others more than he would be with her; she knew that she had to place him with two parents that counted on the love of a birthmother to give them the family they would otherwise be unable to have.

I pray for you and all the other girls out there that are faced with such a big decision. Yet, know that when you put your baby’s needs before your own, the Lord will bless you more than you can ever imagine.
